Gassing Voltage
The voltage threshold at which gassing occurs due to electrolysis of water in the electrolyte during charging.
Gelled Battery (Gel-Cell)
A sealed or valve regulated lead-acid battery in which the electrolyte is composed of a silica gel matrix. As the battery ages the electrolyte may become hard. There is little or no fluid that may leak if the battery case is cracked.
